About Us
My Best Life Chicago, Inc. is a nonprofit creative hub built on the belief that a city’s creative community is what makes it unique. We exist to support Chicago’s artists, musicians, craftsmen, entertainers, and small businesses by bringing them together through collaboration, shared visibility, and access to opportunities that are difficult to create alone.
By functioning as a shared hub and curated marketplace, we connect creatives with the public, partners, and each other — strengthening Chicago’s creative culture and making it more accessible, sustainable, and built to last.
FOUNDER’S STATEMENT
My Best Life Chicago started with a simple belief: living your best life starts at home, and the people who give a city its character are the creatives who live and work there.
After years of helping people settle into Chicago and connect with their neighborhoods, I saw firsthand how difficult it was for talented artists and small businesses to gain visibility without spending money they didn’t have. At the same time, I saw how much people wanted authentic, local experiences but didn’t always know where to find them.
I created My Best Life Chicago to bridge that gap — to build a space where Chicago creatives could collaborate, be discovered, and participate in opportunities together, rather than competing alone. This organization exists to support the creative community that makes Chicago what it is, and to ensure those voices, services, and experiences remain visible, accessible, and valued.— Troy Marr, Founder
Our Story
What began as a community-focused effort to help people feel at home in Chicago evolved into a mission-driven nonprofit centered on creative culture. My Best Life Chicago grew from the understanding that strong cities are built through local connection, collaboration, and creative expression.
Over time, that vision expanded into a platform designed to support Chicago’s creative community — connecting artists, entrepreneurs, and small businesses with shared resources, collaborative opportunities, and access to audiences seeking authentic local talent and services.

Tink Tees was created to fund My Best Life Chicago, Inc. Profits from Tink Tees support nonprofit programs, platform development, and creative initiatives that serve Chicago’s creative community.
