The merger of Continental Airlines and United brought Troy to Chicago in 2010 where he served the membership of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers as Local Lodge President, representing the Flight Attendants of Continental Airlines, ExpressJet, and CommuteAir. The merging of seniority lists caused a surplus of Flight Attendants and after a rewarding 15-year career, Troy left the airline industry to pursue other ambitions.

In 2015 Troy joined T-Mobile where he lead a team to develop a new Diversity & Inclusion program within their customer contact centers and retail stores.

Real Estate was always of interest and in 2018 Troy joined a small real estate firm to explore leasing part-time. Two weeks into the business, Troy knew he had found his calling. Moving often means that something significant is happening in one's life and Troy finds excitement in being apart of their experiences.

His commitment to client satisfaction, passion for design, and a lot of hard work lead to the distinction of the Chicago Association of Realtors Top Rental Producer in 2019, his first year in the industry.

He began developing a team of leasing consultants to support his growing folio of managed property partnerships and in 2020, Troy transitioned his team to The Apartment Source. The eight agents of the Marr Group at The Apartment Source have become Chicago's preferred leasing partners, supporting managed property folios with nearly 6,000 apartments.
